In the context of globalization and academic mobility, the importance of teaching Russian as a foreign language in non-philological universities is increasing. Of particular relevance is the choice and combination of teaching methods focused not only on the formation of language competence, but also on the development of professional and communicative skills of students. The theses consider the main methodological approaches, their effectiveness and the possibilities of integration into the educational process.
